The poem, Where the mind is without fear includes the words that could make anyone’s blood get on fire within no time. The poem reads as,

”Where the mind is without fear and the head is Held high;
Where knowledge is free;
Where the world has not been broken up into Fragments by narrow domestic walls
Where words come out from the depth of truth;
Where tireless striving stretches its arms towards perfection;
Where the clear stream of reason has not lost its way
Into the dreary desert sand of dead habit;
Where the mind is led forward by thee
Into ever-widening thought and action;
Into that heaven of freedom, My Father, let my Country awake.”

Even the famous poets of that time and even the contemporary world have praised Rabindra Nath Tagore as well. Talking about the popularity of Rabindra Nath, even when Barak Obama visited India, he used a few words from Rabindra Nath’s poem for addressing the Indian people.

5. Appreciation of the Poem:-

If I talk about the poem, it talks about a place where the mind is not encaged. There is no fear to it that it will be imposed someone else’s thoughts to follow and a place where knowledge is provided free of cost. Where there are no boundaries that can encage people. Where everyone is free to speak truth, without fear of any administration. I am not going to translate the full poem here but I simply translated the initial lines to make you have a look at the beauty of Tagore’s thoughts. See how beautiful he has written. It clearly depicts the jeopardy of mindsets when India was not free and hence Tagore’s poem is really an appreciable work.
