Acne is a skin problem that you suffer from when your hair follicles get filled with excess oils and dead skin cells. Acne generally appears on areas like your face, neck, chest, back and shoulders, and thus acne can make you distressed and annoyingly continously.

Acne areas heal slowly, and when one lesion begins to resolve, others seem to crop up. People literally cry over their face suffering from acne. Or any other part like neck or chest as firstly it spoils their look and they personally feel as if they are not looking good and secondly it makes them feel diseased.

The main effects of acne are psychological depression, such as reduced self-esteem and in very extreme cases it results the victim to suicide. A clinical study has estimated the incidence of suicidal ideation in patients with acne as 7.1%.

In adolescence stage, acne is usually caused by an increase in androgens such as testosterone, which occurs during puberty, regardless of the fact if you are male or female. Acne occurs most commonly during adolescence, affecting an estimated 80–90% of teenagers in the western world.

Acne makes skin filled up with much of oil glands, these areas include the face, the upper part of the chest, and the back. Though severe acne is inflammatory, but acne can also manifest in non inflammatory and non itching forms.
The skin changes are caused either by the changes in pilosebaceous units or the skin structures consisting of a hair follicle and its associated sebaceous gland, changes that require androgen stimulation.

For most people, acne vanishes over the time and tends to disappear ,or at the very least decreases by the age of twenty six. There is, however, no way to predict how long it will take to disappear entirely, and some individuals will carry this condition well into their thirties, forties, and beyond till they die.

Depending on its intense, this skin problem can cause emotional distress and lead to the skin getting scars. It can thus be called a human skin disease, characterized by areas of scaly red skin, blackheads and whiteheads, pinheads, nodules, pimples, and possibly scarring.

The appearance of acne varies with skin color. It may result in psychological and social problems. Though effective treatments are available to treat acne, the earlier the treatment is started, the lower your risk of lasting physical and emotional damage.
