Types of Fingerprints and What They Mean
There Are Three Kinds of Finger Prints In General
1. Patent Prints:-
When the skin of finger of an individual comes in contact with a smooth kind of surface, i.e. another object, there would be a characteristic impression left behind that will be visible even with the naked eyes and you would need not make any efforts to recognize it. There is no ultra modern technique or machine needed as well. The criminal suspect is able to hide these fingerprints the most of times.
2. Latent Prints:-
When the fingerprint impressions get invisible to the naked eyes and these often require to be enhanced in order to recognize them. These include the marks left with perspiration or sweat and may even be a result of some water or blood that must have remained on the individual’s fingers. There are less chances for criminals to find time enough as to remove these prints. The sweated fingers are enough to make the criminal get caught in this case.
3. The Plastic Prints:-
Talking about the plastic prints, these are the ones that are visible, but occur when an individual’s finger touch a soft and malleable kind of surface. This results in indentation and often it occurs with the freshly varnished, polished or painted surfaces. Suppose there is a murder scene in an area that was freshly painted and the paint had not completely dried yet while the criminal mistakenly touched it. The mark of finger impressions will be left behind that will be enough to get the culprit behind the bars.
4. The Conclusion:-
