How to Measure the Size of a Panty

A panty is simply a kind of knickers that women wear under their lower as an undergarment. It is a kind of women underwear in the form of form-fitting, loses and consists of an elastic waistband which makes them wear it at a proper place in order to cover up their genital area. Panties come in various breathable materials and they are designed to cover the entire lower half of the female torso. In order to choose a perfect panty for yourself, you need to determine which size panty suits you the best as you can’t get nude in a shop in order to try it. In order to measure your size for a panty, you can follow these simple steps:-

How to Measure the Size of a Panty

How to Measure the Size of a Panty

1. Bring in a measuring tape:-

Tailors always keep a plastic flexible measuring tape with themselves. The same soft measuring tape can be bought in use for taking measurement for the size of panties. Just get in the tape and wrap or drape it around your waist where you typically wear your pants or jeans to take measurement for your pantry.

2. Take measurement of your hips and waist:-

One of the measurements that need to be taken here is the hip measurement. Stand in front of a mirror and then wrap the tape around fullest part of your hips. Make sure that the tape measure is completely around while keeping it snug parallel to the floor. Note down the measurement on a piece of paper. Wrap the tape this time around your waist snugly without clutching. It will be draped around the natural indentation of your waist. Just find the waist curve and then bend to the side taking measurement of your waist. Write down this measurement also on the same piece of paper where you had noted down the hip measurement.

3. Determining the panty size:-

In order to determine your panty size, you will have to match up the size specifications noted down on the piece of paper with a panty size chart downloaded from the internet. In order to make this job easy for you, we have mentioned some size specifications in the same article. Suppose of the size for your waist comes out as 23-24” and size of hips comes out to be 33-34”, you have a panty size of 4 which is extra small or “XS”. Now if your waist size comes out to be 25-26” and your hip size comes out to be 25-36”, your panty size will be 5 which is small or “S”. If your waist size is 27-28” and hip size is 37-38”, your panty size will be 6 or medium or “M”.

4. Going up with larger specifications:-

Going upwards, you will find sizes like “L” or 7 which means large, “XL” or 8 which means extra large, “XXL” or 2XL or 9 which means extra-extra large and similarly the size will keep on increasing in the terms of 3XL, 4XL, 5XL, 6XL, 7XL, 8XL (10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15) and so on.

In order to determine the waist and hip measurement for these sizes, just add a number of +2 in the previous one. For example, I told you that If your waist size is 27-28” and hip size is 37-38”, your panty size will be 6 or medium or “M” and as after “M” comes the turn of “L” size, I will add +2 to the size specifications of this size which gives its specification for waist as 29-30” and hip specifications as 39-40” and similarly you can determine the measurement specifications for the other sizes as well.
