An important way to maintain your personal health is to have a healthy diet. A healthy diet includes a variety of plant-based and animal-based foods that provide nutrients to our body .Such nutrients give you energy and keep your body running. Nutrient build and strengthen bones, muscles, and tendons and also regulate body processes.

Food can maintain or save life. It can destroy life as well. Proper food serves the purpose of medicine. Improper food works as poison and cause diseases. WE may take pride in calling ourselves civilized: but we flout all the norms about the quality or quantity of food. We mostly eat processed foods. We have drifted away from mother nature .making healthy food choices is important because it can lower your risk of heart disease, developing some types of cancer, and will contribute to maintaining a healthy weight.

Some key points that can keep us healthy are:

Healthy Diet:-

A healthy diet is a way of eating that that reduces risk for complications such as heart disease and stroke. Healthy eating includes a wide variety of foods including : Vegetables, Whole grains, Fruits, Non-fat dairy products, Beans, Lean meats, Poultry, Fish

People with healthy diets are less likely to succumb to common to common minor illness, such as lesser forms of Influenza, mainly because consumption of a healthy diet would provide ample nutrients and energy for the body, so as to help stave off such illnesses. Similarly, the healthy diet can also be used this way to aid the body during illness. The importance at present of a healthy diet is something which is actually receiving many promotions throughout several countries due to obesity epidemics.

Exercise:-

Physical exercise enhances or maintains physical fitness and overall health and wellness. it strengthens muscles and improves the cardiovascular system. For a student walking is preferable to all exercises. The advantage of this mode of exercise is that it is simple. The apparatus is all at hand, complete. You need not wait for the importation of machinery. It is in the open air that the lungs can at once receive the pure air of heaven and the eyes gaze upon hill and dale, upon trees and flowers, upon the objects animate and inanimate.

Yoga:-

Yoga has a lot to offer as we move on in 21ST century. It gives us the means to complement medical technology with holistic system of health care that addresses the problems of the mind and spirit, as well as those of the body. Yoga aims to treat illness by improving health on all levels simultaneously and by restoring inner harmony. Regularly practice of yoga can restore your natural balance and positive good health to all parts of your life.
