After a time of continuous usage, it has been noticed time and again that most of the microwaves encounter a strange kind of smell coming out of it. Often a microwave gets covered with patches of sauce, cake and baked potato particles which make it experience this kind of smell and though this smell stays tolerable till a specific part of time, but if you do not clean your microwave after this specific time, your microwave is likely to develop an odor that even you will start hating and thus in such a case it becomes your need to deodorize the microwave. In order to deodorize a Microwave, you can follow these simple steps:-
How to Clean and Deodorize your Microwave Oven
1. Mix Baking Soda and Water:-
The best practiced approach in order to deodorize a microwave is to use baking soda in order to deodorize the microwave as it has been seen that baking soda can suck off and eliminate bad smells out of anything. In order to follow this approach, you should take ¼ part of baking soda in a cup with ¾ portion of water. Place this cup inside the microwave and leave it for a while. The microwave will thus get deodorized.
2. White Vinegar plus Water:-
Vinegar also has cleansing and deodorizing properties in it and thus you can bring vinegar mixed with water in order to deodorize your microwave as well. Simply take 1 tsp of vinegar and add 10 ml water to it. Keep this solution inside the microwave for some time and it will eliminate away all the bad smell from your microwave.
3. Lemon Juice to Rub the Microwave Body:-
Lemon juice is a naturally accepted cleanser for cleaning any object and thus we will advise you to use lemon juice with the areas where food mixtures have mistakenly fallen off from you in the microwave. You can use cotton balls dipped in lemon juice to clean off such a portion.
4. Keep It Open for a While:-
Whenever our microwave develops bad smell, my wife just uses a half wet and half dry cotton cloth to clean off the microwave body from inside as well as outside and then places it in the open under the sun for some time. The bad odor gets removed like this and we get our microwave deodorized for free.
5. Sponge Dipped In Vinegar:-
If there is stains of food/butter that need to be washed, you should never use detergent within the microwave and instead you can wipe off the surface with a sponge dipped in vinegar solution. This one is my personally followed approach and thus I can surely say that it works for most of the machines including microwave
6. A Dishwasher Can Also Be Bought In Use:-
The tough stains/ patches made by fallen batter/sauce etc can be cleaned by having dishwasher dipped cotton balls in one hand wiping off the stains with it and then you can use the sponge bar in order to clean it off. The microwave will get cleaned this way and then you can place it off in the open to make it get deodorized as well.
